Im just wondering, why dont Ubuntu switch to strictly LTS releases while keeping the software reasonably recent, that way they can focus more on stability, and its users wouldnt have to upgrade as often? Dont have to be like CentOS or Debian Stable-style LTS in which the software becomes stale over time, it could still be kept at reasonably recent versions while keeping it as stable as humanly possible within a five-year lifespan if they switched to releasing new versions every three years or five years or whatever, meanwhile it could have a rolling-release development branch.
