Im kinda peeved at Democratic Candidate for State Assembly, Rudy Salas. I know that in office he will vote for things I care about far more often than Rios would but, I really hate it when politicians lie over and over again. While I dont live in his district (its the district that starts 1 block from my home), I dont know whether I feel comfortable telling people to vote for this young man whose family I have known and liked for over a decade. During this campaign, he has run 3 television ads. All 3 were proved to contain complete fabrications and had to be pulled. Ad #1 accused Pedro Rios of using government loans to buy his home. Fact is: Pedro Rios is a vet and used a VA loan to buy his home. Rudy Salas had to pull the misleading ad Ad #2 said that he was supported by the farm bureau. the farm bureau came and said we dont endorse any candidates. Please pull the ad and Rudy Salas again pulled the ad Ad #3 states that Pedro Rios missed 80% of the votes at the end of his term as city council member. Fact is: He did take 3 weeks weeks of to help take care of a family emergency. Before that he had a 98% attendance record. He said he did take the $400 paycheck for that month but would gladly give it back if that was the issue. Rudy, I know that it is proven that the one who goes negative first tends to win but, if you go negative and are caught in lie after lie....not sure that is gonna work out, even in a district that is 60% dems. And, youre looking like a slime ball.
