Im late posting, but I wanted to share more pics from our recent hunting trip in Illinois. This trip was by far the most amazing experience I could ever imagine a father having with his son. It was also a religious awakening for me, and I would like to thank some very special people for teaching me how to live life with my eyes wide open, and for also making me realize that God is always speaking to us and showing us the way. Thank you Rick Corone @ Team Carone for starting me on a new path by asking that one important question: Christian, have you been saved? Thank you Willie Robertson for baptizing me in water. Yes, you baptized me in a horse trough; but I wouldnt have had it any other way. Thank you to one of my best friends and a brother for life, my high school wrestling partner Jud Clift, for being the catalyst in setting-up the trip for Hunter and me. You have a big heart, brother, and saw long ago what I couldnt see. For that and so many other reasons, I love you and look forward to now attending church and Sunday school with you, Melissa and the boys. Thank you Adam LaRoche and others @ Buck Commander for embracing not only me, but also my son. Thank you Ben Plattner @ Timberland Outfitters Illinois for your hospitality and extreme kindness. Like me, Willie baptized you in the horse trough and we were baptized together, truly a unique and special moment, and you are without a doubt my brother in Christ. Thank you also mom Plattner and others @ Plattners Ghost Hollow Lodge for your hospitality and for making this trip incredible. Lastly, and most importantly, thank you to my son, Hunter Garstin. Yes, you took down a beautiful eight point buck; but by doing so, you did so much more. You opened your daddys eyes to the world around him and taught me how to be #hunterstrong like you. Above all else, it is YOU who is ultimately responsible for saving ME. To reiterate, our recent hunting trip to Illinois was simply incredible. Little did I know that my sons buck, more specifically the truly unbelievable and very special way in which he got it, would change my life and start me on a new journey. This is exactly the reason why I couldnt imagine a father having a more meaningful and amazing experience with his son. Thanks to all and we love you very much. Christian
