Im literally bawling right now - a good bawling! We are in the middle of Open Enrollment for our insurance through Jimmys work. This is the first enrollment since Camdens diagnosis. I have been so stressed out thinking about it and hoping we can find some relief in the monthly cost of all his medicines and supplies because the plan we are currently on (you know, the one we chose last year because we never get sick) is definitely not good for a disease like Diabetes! Well, I just got off the phone with them and for 2015 they have added Diabetes Agents, Supplies and Injectables to their list of Preventative Therapy Drug List.....which are covered 100% with $0 copay. Yes, you read that correctly. Insulin (Novolog, Humalog and Lantus), BG test Strips, BG Monitors, Lancets/Lancet Devices, Needles, Ketone Strips....all covered. I even had her pull up his EXACT prescription for strips (since we have a higher number of strips/month....just in case) and it was $0. There are no words to express the relief I feel (I know I just wrote lots of words). I literally mean NO WORDS that adequately represent how I feel right now. Thank you, Lord! This is truly a blessing! Wow!
