Im looking to install a high flow cat on my jetta. I was told the USP test pipe would cause me to lose too much torque. And since the USP high flow cat is like $400+ I thought Id look for an alternative. MagnaFlow as well as a few other companies make 200 cell cats but Im wondering if they are supposed to be welded in place of the oem cat or slipped on the oem pipe once the old cat is removed? The reason I ask this is because from what Ive read, the stock piping is 60mm or 2.36 and all the aftermarket cats are 2.25 or 2.5 Has anyone installed a universal cat instead of the USP downpipe?
