Im missing my baby today. I accidentally hit the channel Mickey Mouse Club was on and vivid memories of mornings at home-HOME-not the hospital came rushing back. I miss sitting curled up, drinking my coffee, watching Christian play on the floor in front of me. He would always gather his little figurines of Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie together when it came on. Id smile and shake my head at how smart he was to immediately make that association at 15/16months old. Hed bring them to me, smiling, big brown eyes sparkling, and wed make them dance and- lol- kiss! Muah ! Somewhere in the middle hed notice my cup and look at me and say hot and reach up tentatively to touch the sides. Wed say it together hot. Then off hed go again... Usually to bring me books to read. I love how he would clamor into my lap, eager to listen and use my finger to point at the pictures. Then wed eat together and chat. I love, loveee how much my baby enjoyed eating! It was fun to watch ... Of course, he enjoyed doing most things as was evident from his constant, consistent smile...Mornings will never be the same. Nothing will ever be the same. And, sometimes, thats more then I can bear....Id give anything for just an hour of one of those mornings with my sweet Christian.
