Im nodding off as I post - it was another day of sunshine and rest. I was pool side and had just ordered lunch when Sister Janet called to say theyd finished early and would be there shortly. I identify with the kitchen folks no matter where in the world I am. Walk through a kitchen door and I know what to do. Where to stand and how to behave. When I rushed into the kitchen door, wild-eyed and dripping wet from the pool, yet still covered from stem to stern in respect for the culture here, we all understood each other. Restaurant kitchens are like that. Three of Sr. Janets students took is to the Market and the slave trade museum in Zanzibar City. It is so nice to walk the streets with people who are connected and know everyone (photos of this and more explanations tomorrow). Sr. Janet and I were invited to another of her students house to break the days fasting for Ramadan. Quite an honor. The red thing is fruit - it reminded me of an orange. Sort off.
