Im normally not one to get too involved with hot-button issues, - TopicsExpress

Im normally not one to get too involved with hot-button issues, but this is my take on current events. When someone is killed by a law enforcement officer, the public has a right to know that it was justified. This is done automatically with any officer involved shooting. Once the results are out there, let the public weigh in. Before that point, the looting and rioting seems pointless. I feel for the citizens of the community and the destruction theyre bringing on themselves. I feel for the family of Michael Brown, since losing a child must be traumatic. I also think that we are seeing a reaction that proves that Americans cant communicate. Looting is simply creating more crime, which is ironic when your very argument stems from the idea that no crime was committed by the young man. Shouldnt you be directing this energy to prove the law-abiding nature of your community? Instead youve targeted people who had nothing to do with this, ruining lives and businesses for pleasure or revenge. Either way, the logic is flawed and the result is more crime and more police action made necessary. I dont know what really happened, and neither does anyone who wasnt there. I only know that destruction and anger never solved anything.
