Im not a parenting expert. In fact, Im not sure that I even believe in the idea of parenting experts. Im an engaged, imperfect parent and a passionate researcher. Im an experienced mapmaker and a stumbling traveler. Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The very basic core of our living spirit is the passion for new things. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all! One day my kids will love all those great adventures I took them on even if they were a little risky! Lol :)
