Im not a soldier but i got soul. The tank looked broke down, so I stopped to get my camera out, with takes a little time effort, I was very pleased when more traffic came along, just before all this unfolded, I had been at a greasy, stink, snack, whatever wagon, getting me a big breakfast roll, I got chatting with the owner, after a while a soldier started eavesdropping, so I involved him in eye contact, & conversation, I asked him for tips on walking while heavy laden, he said hed spotted dutch people putting their feet horizontally up against trees, saying the elevation is good but that the trees give you energy also, this wise man,had honesty, integrity, and intelligence in his eyes, I told him my name & said he could add me on facebook if he wanted to track my movements, my butty was now cooked, & ready the owner looked to me for payment, I had stacked £3.60 on the serving shelf when Simon McCann, the soldier said wait give that back to him, Ill pay for that, I thanked him and explained how the kindness of strangers is one of the best things im finding with this walking, we chatted for a little while longer until his food was ready and he got in his truck and drove off, but not before stopping & giving me his card, it reads...
