Im not a writer. I have been dealing with some different personalities lately and I have been praying for the Lord to reveal why some people act differently towards me. ( or reveal why I perceive they feel these ways towards me.) So heres what he gave me. Its kinda lengthy. 1 Peter 5:5-7 Proverbs 3:34 Insure Pride Pride is such a funny thing. Being prideful I learned in psychology class is a strong response to insecurity. Usually this occurs when we are insure about our gifts, talents, and abilities. We tend to put up a wall. ( a false strong front that shows a very ugly side of us.) Sometimes our pride caused by insecurity causes us to not let anyone into our life, business, ministry, and our heart for that matter. We shy away from asking for help. Not because we dont need it. But, because we dont know what to do with these people we need so badly. In all actuality we dont know how to lead them. We dont let people in because maybe theyre better than I am at what Im trying to accomplish. Instead of seeing what they can bring to what my needs are. We then push everyone away, so that no one can see our challenges, and weaknesses. The Bible is very clear about a prideful heart. A prideful heart challenges the Holy Spirit from working in and through us. Being humble is the key to being connected. We need to create an atmosphere where honesty about our hursts, weaknesses, venerabilities are welcomed. ( we all have them.) We must come to a place where not having it all together and everything figured out. Is okay!
