Im not for either side of this controversial argument. I feel the ice bucket challenge is positive in the fact that it has definitely increased awareness of ALS. I honestly didnt even know what that was until this all started. I think of this challenge as a fundraiser, just not the kind we are used to. I can see how this may look to others and maybe some say Americans look ignorant or wasteful. However there will always be a positive AND negative to anything. Its just how you choose to look at it. Maybe dumping ice water on your head wasnt the best way to go about it. But you have to give it up for creativity and the fact that it obviously gained serious results or it wouldnt have raised so much money or gone viral. Not everyone does everything for the right reasons. This is true with anything in life. But you have to applaud people for their good intentions in trying to help their fellow humans. I agree with Steve-O in regards to celebrities who have done this challenge. Give what you are able, not the minimum requirement.
