Im not normally so persistent about a programs cancellation; it happens all the time. Ive been watching TV a long time(Im 61) and I have been blessed to make acquaintances online that have worked in the business and taught me the rules involved. The sweet spot for cable TV seems to be 3 million viewers. #Longmire consistently achieved that number although it did drop off this year. Oh, and lets not forget the low number from that coveted demographic.Personally, I think it was due to the insistence of having season long plot arcs. Episodic TV like we mostly had the first two seasons is better for the casual viewer. There is also the fact that A&E doesnt own the program and it cant be cheap to produce a program that shoots mostly on location. Who knows what else was going on behind the scenes? We, the fans, will most certainly never find out. The bottom line here: A&E made a business decision based on the available facts and they arent in business to lose money. Railing at them will serve no purpose other than making us fans look bad. They key is to take the social media route. Share, retweet, reblog and like everything you can everywhere. Adam Bartleys YouTube seems to be taking the lead there so follow it. Make some noise!
