Im not one for a big post, but as people are writing their farewells for 2014 Id thought Id do my own spin of it: 2014 was a year that saw a lot of disappointments for me, full of lost opportunities, health problems and depression. This year was meant to be my break away from uni and study - to stretch my wings and pursue some other great passions of mine in an attempt to make success from them. What ultimately transpired was me faltering these goals and tredding water in a full time job that sapped my energy, motivation and mental health. The year was a failure and when I look back Im still ashamed of the promises I broke and the goals I didnt accomplish. However this is not to say that everyday was dark. I was a bridesmaid to one of my closest friends in her wedding to the man she loves, I had an amazing line of shows with Little Fish with Russell Slater and Adelaide Fringe with Simon Lancione and Mark Drury, and I gained another close friend Phoebe Shaw who along with Jess McGaffin , Amelia Lórien Dembowski, Jeanne McRae and Isabella Shaw have given me the laughter, love, hugs and fun to see me through this damn year. Dan Glasgow Madz Forster, Madz Heenan, Jake Jeff Leak, Smitesh Nair and Angus Sturt-Bray I cant mention work and leave you guys out. Thanks for making it worth going to work every day and making those Duke Fridays so much fun. Emily Moran your encouragement and bootcamp sessions have given me my energy and motivation back and I look forward to many more to come. Carina Brown and Sean Simper thank you for putting up with me and being an amazing mum and dad. This year may have been like one giant closing door, but from the opportunities Ive just gained and the lessons Ive learned, Im gonna make 2015 the open door, and keep it open. Thanks again for spending it with me 😃
