Im not one to normally get sentimental, well certainly not in a public forum. Nor am I the type to publish it on facebook, but at work my partner and I had a very special patient today who certainly put a few things back into perspective for me and he hardly had to say anything at all. A quick glance at a small but very old, clear tattoo on his left inner forearm, inscribed with the letter A followed by five numbers said it all. A brief discussion quickly revealed a very religious Jewish man with a strong Russian accent. A few moments later, he reveals to me he was an Auschwitz survivor. Its times like these where words just dont do a moment or a person justice. Sometimes you just have to look at someone in awe and perhaps a smile. What an honor it was to meet this gentleman.
