Im not one to post about celebrities normally but what happened with Robin Williams yesterday really touched me personally. I cant help but think, having battled with depression myself and been fortunate to have come out of the other side, that something needs to be done about the stigma and taboo around it. As a society we need to make it easier to talk, its a big part of dealing with the illness. Unfortunately though there are too many snap out of it comments and its all in your head mentalities. As a society we need to understand that this is an illness, a chemical imbalance in the brain. Its not a choice. Mental illness will touch the majority of us at some point during our lives, so please dont ever feel weak or less of a person. Your problem is always the biggest. Talk about it. Rest in peace bud.
