Im not saying that raising awareness for als is a bad thing and Im not knocking the challenge because of the money it has raised, but what will happen after the phase of Facebook videos moves on to a new cause? Will people just forget about als? No disease, illness or disability is easy to live with, its hard because you cant just dump a bucket of cold water on yourself and move on. It has a massive impact on all people. But I think more can be done than donating 10 quid to a charity and putting a video up that will get a few laughs. Write letters or talk to local governments, there was a talk with parliament not long ago about funding for dealing with autism and only 11 MPs showed up. Its brilliant raising money for a good cause but there are too many good causes to help. So find a charity that you believe in and make a connection do something to help, whether its donating, helping out or just raising awareness. But on a lighter note cheers Lee prickman for nominating me. I now nominate my two hairy people Connor Payne and Aaron Gosling I donated 20 pound to RNLI.
