Im not saying we should have a riot but seriously, the press, RTE, Today FM and some of our politicans need a bit of perpective when it comes to current civil protest in Ireland. Last week in Brussels riot police clashed with demonstrators amid a massive protest against government plans to reform the country’s welfare system. This protest came on the heels of violent French, Italian, and Spanish protests in recent weeks. Here are some of the pictures from these protests and if anyone can remember last year in Spain you had Firefighters in street battles with riot police. Here in Ireland it is alleged that ONE brick gets thrown and a minister gets hit with a water balloon. After 6 years of austerity. Give us a break.
