Im not so impressed with the Bards new tune Sue. It reminds me a bit of Spinal Tap doing Jazz Odyssey. It may grow on me. I didnt like his Young Americans till I caught this clip of him and the band playing live on the Dick Cavett Show. He had a cold, apparently, or had overdone the ole snow white, but the performance has brilliant energy, great singing from a troupe including Luther Vandross, great playing from saxist David Sanbourn and DBs rhythm regulars Carlos Alomar and Dennis Davis plus guitar virtuoso Earl Slick (who complained that he had little proper guitar playing to do on the whole Young Americans album).
