Im not sure I like this culture of the men always having the pursue the women, we often have to humiliate ourselves and face a 50/50 chance of outright rejection or embarrassment, while the girl can just live her life knowing that she will have a constant stream of interest. Considering that approaching someone is one of the hardest social things someone genuine or nice can do - I find it odd this double standard has not been corrected. Jerks can more easily approach, because they have less to lose - less of the real them is actually on the line because they are expert players and wear elaborate masks designed to hit all the right perfect man notes. The more you pair back and eliminate the social systems that take place in this world by not submitting to the conditioning, the easier it will be to find something genuine. And I think thats what everyone wants deep down . At some point you need to drop the need for perfection, and focus instead on someones ability to be a real functional human being rather than the emulation of a perfect person, that will crumble apart the moment you have slept with them.
