Im not sure if I mentioned about the house spider living in the critters office? Well I had a native house spider take residence between the corner of Prickles (hedgehog) & Anastasia (tortoise) tanks, usually I remove any spiders I find in the house & put them out side, but this one had made an impressive web joining the two tanks, I watched as it caught & ate a cricket that had managed to escape from a tub, so I thought, this guy can stay & catch any bugs that get away like some kind of critter security measure lol :) well Mr Spider was doing a fantastic job & growing by the day enjoying his role as chief Cricket hunter, while getting fed in the process, so all was well until today :( It was that time of the week when the critters get a good clean out, I was cleaning out Simples (bearded dragon) viv, so i let him have a run about on the floor while i done that, he was particular happy today & was enjoying his run about stopping off to say hello to the rabbit & guinea pig, he then decided to go see Anastasia, Simples is a bit clumsy at the best of times & went crashing into Mr spiders web destroying it completely, Mr spider came rushing out from under the tank to see what all the commotion was? Big mistake, we have a stand off! Simples turned his head & stared at the spider as it stopped dead in its track, Mr spider must of realised at this moment he should of stayed in bed, as Simples picked him off the remains of his web & munched him up, he turned around & licking his lips he trotted off, RIP Mr Spider :)
