Im not sure if Ive previously shared this story, but I feel compelled to do so. In 1987, while seven months pregnant and living on the economy in Germany, I was enroute to a revival service at our chuch. I was to get there early to help set up; the problem, I didnt drive and was taking the city bus. It was a German holiday so the bus ran on a slower schedule and thinking I could walk to the next stop as I waited, I walked and walked. Soon, I found myself lost in a wooded area. I could hear the distant sounds of traffic, but was clueless as to how to walk towards it. So, instead, I walked where I thought the sounds were coming. And, I went further into the woods. For about two hours or so, I saw no one and no longer heard the sounds of traffic. I actually started to panic. I sat down by a tree and had a talk with my baby (seriously, I was that scared!) apologizing that I got us into this situation where I was lost and afraid. After another hour or so, still walking in the woods, and seeing no one, I spot a little rabbit. You read that correctly, a rabbit appeared from no where. I can honestly say, up until then, the only things I saw living other than me were a few birds, and suddenly there appears a rabbit. I remembered my prayer for God to help me find my way out of the woods, so I say to the rabbit, Please help me find my way out Yall, I know this sounds like a redone version of Alice in Wonderland, but those who know me, know I can and DO find myself in the most unique situations. This rabbit was either an angel or was used by God to get me and my baby (Jessica) out of the woods. After walking for about 45 mins to an hour, I emerged from the woods right across the street from our church. When I walked in, Trefus and a few others asked what took me so long (I was supposed to help cook and set up) I said that I walked. They laughed and I silently thanked God for sending me a miracle rabbit. I guess my extra long story is to simply say, even when we are lost because we took the wrong turn while doing the right thing, or because we were being hard headed & stubborn, if we call out to God, He will answer us. We just have to keep our eyes open for His answer because it just might be a rabbit!
