Im not sure that I can teach about the Korea, I think this can be helpful for people who plan to travel the Korea. This is not about a Korean. Today I wanna talk about the SUBWAY in Korea. Those pictures are taken in the Subway and there is a map about Seoul(the capital of Korea) subway line. Actually I dont know about other countries subway, I think the public transportation system in Korea is good to move to other city. At first time(when I was 10 years old) It was hard for me to understand the system, because there are so many lines and especially the city, Seoul is very complicated. And now many cities in Korea have same system as Seoul. So if you take a bus and wanna translate to the subway, you just pay the fare based on the distance which you cover by the subway. (Inverse case is same) Normally the fare of bus is almost 1200 WON(1.08 Dollars, 48.6 Pesos, 0.9 Euros) and the subway is 1150 WON.(This is different according to the cities. but the differences are not such big.) These are the basic fare and If you go to more distance, then the fare increases 100 WON per 5km until the distance you go reaches 40km. If you go more than 40km, the fare increases 100 WON per 10km. Comparing to the cost charged to other things, the fare of transportation is not expensive. So, you just need to understand the way you wanna go :) And there are funny features in the stations. For example, the 홍대(HongDae), 신촌(SinChon) and 강남(Gangnam) are famous for the place where the people can enjoy. There are a lot of things you can enjoy(especially for young people). The song of Psy(Gangnam style) comes from this Name. There is the 노량진(NoRyangJin...?) station. Its famous for studying. Because there are a lot of people studying the bar exam(the exam for becoming lawyer) and private educational institutes. Umm... There are more funny stories but Its really hard to explain in English. XD. Anyway I hope that you become to know more about the Korea and be interested in the Korean too. Happy new year!!
