Im not sure what is better-this mornings blood moon lunar eclipse or the fact that I have a brand new song from Bryan Ferry to share today. Well also hear a new Lorde song and another new single from Bastille, along with the latest from Ryan Adams, London Grammar, Big Data, The Afghan Whigs, Paolo Nutini, U2, Eric Hutchinson AND a track from Ryan Humberts new album in our Local Music Spotlight. Ive only had a chance to listen to the whole album once so far, but I think its his best yet. Well also cull the stacks for great songs from Nick Lowe, Audience, Peter Gabriel, The Killers, New Order, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Jimi Hendrix, Dashboard Confessional, Lenny Kravitz and many more. Jim Chenot will bring us a very rare version of Penny Lane in our Beatles Break, and Ill also have another pair of tickets up for grabs for the Akron Symphonys performance Cirque de la Symphonie on October 18th at E. J Thomas Hall. Listen up between 9 and 9:30 this morning for that. It was on this date 10 years ago that Melissa Etheridge got her diagnosis of breast cancer. She beat it and is doing very well these days with a new album out and a tour which will stop for a show at the State Theatre in Cleveland on Friday, Nov. 14th.
