Im noticing that others are receiving Bast transmissions at this time, and I feel that She is choosing to connect with humanity at this specific juncture, for whatever reasons. Perhaps it is because Bastet the Lady of Life is a deity concerned with compassion, protection and honoring living things. As Mother and Defendrix, Lady Bast champions the downtrodden and lends a strong arm to the oppressed. We must remember that Bast began as a ferocious lioness, and that, before the rise of Sekhmet, began as a goddess of war and national defense in Egypt. Goddess who defended kings and destroyed the enemies of Ra, Bastet slowly transformed Herself into a less fearsome cat embodying gentle protection and healing. As the Great Tomcat She still guards the Holy Ished Tree and safeguards the Ark of Ra, but to humankind Bast is the loyal friend, companion and mother. She makes music to soothe the distressed, and brings joy...joy...joy. Be in peace, be in joy...be in love!
