Im nutty for WALNUTS! Who knew these tasty little buggers could do so many wonderful things for our body?! Walnuts are very rich in polyunsaturated fats, mostly the Essential Omega 3 fats! For those of us who do not eat fish, this is a fantastic alternative source for those highly beneficial Omega 3s! Walnuts have been shown to: -Protect us from aging -Reduce or eliminate Skin problems -Protect against cardiovascular disease -Protect against cancers -Relieve arthritis -Lower bad cholesterol and blood pressure -increase elasticity of arteries -Increase Brain function and thought processes -Protect against diseases of the Nervous System WHEW!!! And these are only a few of their benefits! RECIPES? You can work them into everything! In baked goods, pancakes, oatmeal, salads, fruit....etc. WALNUT APPLE SNACK DELIGHT!: 1 Apple cored and chopped 1 tsp. Balsamic Vinegar Crumbled Blue Cheese 1/4 C. Walnuts chopped Place all ingredients in bowl. Toss to mix and enjoy! Sounds strange, but tastes delicious!!!
