Im of the opinion our country should re-embrace our Judeo-Christian roots like this wonderful story before we lose who we are as a country and where our freedom truly comes from, Endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights... I know what the 1st amendment says but the founders assumed Judeo-Christian would be the default and the society at that time thought when people came to this country theyd have the intelligence to figure out those Judeo-Christian values were why they wanted to come here in the first place, because they wanted to live free. Many people dont understand that today. Unfortunately, it wasnt until Thomas Jefferson was President, over a decade after the Bill of Rights, that our country figured out what the Quran was and said. However, the Constitution was never amended from the freedom of religion in the 1st amendment figuring swearing to uphold the Constitution when taking office, and Islam being half a world away, Islam wouldnt have much impact to the country. Personally I think its been a mistake of our society to cast aside our Biblical roots. This video is a great story of returning to those Biblical roots. The challenge is, how do you allow this but not other religions to do the same the way the 1st amendment is written? We want free and open debate/speech to discover truth, and that was the way our government was designed, but how do you allow Islam in this country (or even in the world) when two of its main tenets is to silence free speech and not allow freedom of religion (giving you only the choice of Islam/Sharia Law or death)?
