Im often amazed how many times I come across big time fans of Batman: The Animated Series that never realized how much it took its look and feel from the classic Max Fleischer Superman cartoons of the 40s. Even if they knew, many of them have never actually seen one. This short run of cartoons still stands as some of my all time favorite moments of Superman on the screen. Heres one my personal faves from that series, The Mechanical Monsters. If you have never seen this stuff, do yourself a favor and check it out.
