The Republican Party, under the influence of the Koch brothers and other billionaire families, continues to call for major cuts in programs desperately needed by working families.Unbelievably, in this very tough economy, many Republicans want cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, nutrition and environmental programs. They are vigorously opposed to any increase in the minimum wage or a major jobs program that would put the unemployed back to work. But while the Republicans oppose help for struggling working families, they are fiercely in favor of more tax breaks for the rich and large corporations. Hes not saying anything which politically conscious Americans dont know. The reason he keeps publicizing these facts about US politics is because there are so many people who are not well informed or who are ill-informed. And this election is of incredible importance to regular American people. We already in all conscience cannot call ourselves a democracy. We the People are supposed to play our part in government. That was the intention of the framers. We are part of the balance of power which keeps corruption at bay. But our Government is broken and corruption is the m.o. in Washington. Im adding my middle class passionate voice to those who admonish us to vote. Exercise the right and privilege and responsibility of We the People! Vote!
