Im on a bus, the Translux, between Grahamstown and Port Shepstone, - TopicsExpress

Im on a bus, the Translux, between Grahamstown and Port Shepstone, South Africa. The bus drivers behave like they are driving a private, 16-seater minibus taxi. Heres why I say so: 1. They have a terrible Rebecca Malope music DVD video on. I bet its THEIR preference of onboard entertainment. Strangely, the reserve driver is not even watching it. 2. A passenger has just offered them HIS preference of a DVD. Its a video on war. We have children below 10 years of age onboard, not to mention that Im not warlike. Eish! 3. My seat mate tells me that the drivers have been chatting away on their cellphones while driving, before I came on. Hawu! 4. Some traffic cops stopped us. Im sure it was for absolutely no reason but thats a topic for another day seeing the almost 20-minutes that they stopped us is going to tempt the drivers to speed just to catch up with the bus schedule. We still have NO clue as passengers why the cops stopped the bus and why for so long. The drivers dont think they owe us an explanation. 5. As I came onto the bus, I sat at the first vacant seat two rows behind the driver. The bus tickets have no seat number allocation. The bus driver then commands me not to sit anywhere within the first two front rows. No reason given. OK. May I stop here for now? Those of my friends who work for Translux, either train these drivers, or excuse them from work, please. I thank you.
