Im on my way back home. I had a great day visiting family. It seems I learn something new about the family with each visit. My great aunt Pat told us that there would be people who would come into Grand Marais and pay her mother, Frances Beargrease Mercer, to pose while they painted her photo and that sometimes their brother Sherwood would pose with their mom. They all wondered what ever happened to the paintings. Some were hanging in the Art Colony but now thats gone. I would do just about anything to see one of them. Love being with my relatives and hearing their stories from back in the day. :)
