Im one of your six page administrators. We hit 6,000 members overnight! Thats terrific! Heres a bit of a membership report: We average around 15 requests a day to join the group. Ive been asked what the criteria are for accepting them. Speaking for myself, these are accepted without question: they have friends already in the group ... they have any tie whatsoever to the eastern half of the US .... they have a normal looking FB page. These are not allowed in (we get a few of these each week): The profile photo is that of a beautiful young woman but the text says HE is now using Facebook in English. and there is nothing else on the page. Since the six page administrators have come on duty, we have had a lot less spam posted. If you see one, send a private message to one of us and well deal with it. Speaking for myself, I not only take down their posting but I ban them from the group. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for spam. Enjoy the page and our beautiful lake. Ive done searches and I dont think any of the other Finger Lakes have anything like this page. We look forward to a great summer (as long as the ice melts!)
