Im opinionated and I like to debate. I cant believe I have to spell this out, but disagreement does not equal dislike, nor does it represent an attack. Far too many people think a difference of opinion translates into one person attacking the other. I love my wife, parents, friends, and relatives more than anything, but we disagree CONSTANTLY. I tell them in no uncertain terms I think theyre wrong. They say Im wrong. We go back and forth. And then we hug. While I cant hug most of you due to distance (and your justifiable resistance to hugging sweaty Internet strangers) after we disagree, please know that unless youve been a dick and attacked someone which then forces me to counterattack, were having a disagreement. A difference of opinion. You think youre right, I think Im right. We go at it. And then we Internet hug it out. And if youre not into the argumentative stuff, then unfortunately you should probably unfollow and unlike the page. Because I am, many of you are, and 99% of the time we have some eye-opening yet civil discourse here that I really value. So lets all be reminded of the difference between a disagreement and an attack, and soldier on.
