Im paraphrasing a bit, but I think this pretty accurately reflects the County Commissions statements to the firefighters and EMTs who spent two days at Hagg Lake recently: Gosh, were really sorry that you have had to come out to Sain Creek so often to rescue people and recover bodies, and we know that many of you are volunteers and all, but think of the trauma we have suffered all these years worrying about possible litigation if we posted a warning sign, not to mention taxpayers saying mean things to us. Lord knows that I dont speak for local firefighters, and they probably dont want one, but I think the county owes them an apology.
