Im particularly excited to post tomorrows post, a review for a performance from Third Coast Percussion and Glenn Kotche for our At the DeBartolo column. The performance that I saw was called Wild Sound and it was commissioned by the University of Notre Dame and performed for its first time this past Friday. The performance features zero conventional instruments; instead, the percussionists continually create and destroy their instruments while performing. A set of instruments that were used in Wild Sound were uniquely created by engineering students during a summer internship program. Definitely be sure to read to read the post tomorrow, the performance was a memorable, enjoyable experience that merits attention.
