Im posting a link to a song that, in the acoustic form, takes on such a deep meaning to me and invokes certain memories I hold onto of a time when I was 14 years old and caring for my mother who was slowly losing her battle against breast cancer. There were long nights that she couldnt sleep and I would sit with her and wed talk or sometimes just listen to songs together through those long nights. I remember one night it was just after midnight when it started raining and she asked me to open the window so she could hear the rain and smell it. She loved the rain. I didnt know it at that moment, but it would be the last time for her to experience that sensation in her life. As the rain fell, she slowly started falling asleep. It was the most peaceful sleep that she had in a very long time.
