Im posting this to blow off some steam I was really upset today as I tried to get a lady to roll her window down to talk to me . Here is what happened she saw a hawk on the ground drove into my lane on coming traffic stopped and proceeded to take cell phone pictures of one of the young Swensons hawks ive been watching on the nest for the past 2 weeks now the chick the youngest of three had finally left the nest but couldnt fly very good or far and landed on the edge of the road . The young hawk was more or less pinned between the fence and her vehical began flying into the side of the fence. I finally got her to roll her window down and told her she could jeopardise the young hawk . She rolled up her window like I offender her and drove away thinking I offended her meanwhile the young hawk flew into the fence many times so I drove home got a glove and was going to lift the hawk to the top of the fence where her 2 siblings were sitting coaxing her to fly up. Needless to say they were gone and have not returned to the nest . Stuff like that really makes me sick because the hawk was at the point of breaking its wing. Its just like the lady who just has to get the picture of a bear at the park rolling her window down feeding cubs thinks isnt this fun . This is one of the last shots I got of the hawk before it left the nest last week. Hope its ok .
