Im posting this update on Terry with a very heavy heart. I went to see him yesterday and thought we were just battling fluid around the heart, and was told the cancer mass has returned but is larger. I was standing up and thought I was literally going to lose my stance b/c when I spoke to the nurse yesterday I thought she told me the cancer was no problem but the fluid around the heart was the priority. He only had his last chemo treatment on 1/29/2014. We were told a year to two years before itd come back so you can only imagine how shocked I was. They are doing more test on the heart to see how to get the fluid off the heart and to also see if the mass is pushing against the heart which would create another problem. I had to tell Terry this b/c he didnt remember the Dr. telling him. He and I both were brokenhearted with this news. Alot of yall dont know Terry but he is a very humble person and just takes what life brings, not like I would do at all!. We both cried and he went immediately back to sleep. He also is sleeping alot more than normal and Im not quite sure why. Hopefully when I go back today Ill have more info b/c they have only run the echogram and want to do another one plus a pet scan and sonogram. I know Ive asked for prayers for Terry and everyone has been so gracious to lift him up and youll never know how much that means to us both. Im going to ask something a little different so Terry can see just how many people thats been praying for him and reading his updates through this cancer journey weve been through.If those of you that could please send him a card to Terry Roberts 1119 Fox Hunt Dr. Winter Haven, Fl. 33880 I would love to watch his expressions as he reads each one and that is something he could see and read over and over. I appreciate it for those that can and just know youve touched someone thats so deserving of this shower of love. Will keep yall updated day by day, Beth Knighten
