Im pretty annoyed. Normally, Im fairly fatalistic about whatever Facebook does or doesnt do, however, Im finally pissed off. My laptop has been on the injured list for the past couple of months. Fortunately, I received a Kindle fire 8.9 for Christmas, and it has done very well keeping me in touch. Early on, I discovered that the Facebook mobile app was an ungovernable mess, and I opted to use the standard feed which appears on standard computers. All was well until this evening, when facebook put up a message that the site I was using was unsupported by the app. Then I was switched to the mobile app. I switched it back. After a moment, the mobile app reappeared. I switched it back again. This back and forth went on for a bit, until nothing but the mobile app would load. Now posts from art sites are only partially visible, the pages feed has vanished, removing all choice in what I see, and posts which are videos are narrow horizontal bands with infinitesimal thumbnails. When I Google how to make t he pages feed visible on mobile, there are no answers. In case youre wondering, the first thing I did was to remove the mobile app from my device. I feel rather like Facebook has hacked my Kindle. Is this even possible?
