Im pretty much undone right now...just met a young man on the autism spectrum whos getting ready to take prom pictures with his date on the square...seeing him smile so wide made me think of my Khairon and cry...I want so much for him to have and enjoy all those special occasions and experiences that every other kid his age does...and grow up and have friends,a career, and a home and learn how to navigate and find his own way in this world...it breaks my heart to know that a lot of simple things in life that people take for granted will be hard for him, and that hell have people take advantage of his gentle heart and hurt him, even with me helping him and guiding him through. Seeing this kid has completely undone me...
