Im pretty wiped out from my accident and Im really worried about the safety of the protesters who are demanding peace from the very place where terrorism is taught to soldiers from around the world.One of them has already spent much time in federal prison for protesting the teaching of terror. I fear for all of them. So, tonight, I leave you with the words of a woman who was tortured. raped,. and killed by men who learned to be terrorists and torturers at the SOA, now located at Fort Benning Georgia. Im so connected to Dorothy. My love to everyone who has the courage to go to the door of terror and knock and say peace. Sister Dorothy would have been the first to say that she was only one of tens of thousands of Salvadorans killed or simply missing during that country’s civil war. In October of 1979, Dorothy wrote to Sister Martha Owen: “We talked quite a bit today about what happens IF something begins. And most of us feel we would want to stay here. . . . We wouldn’t want to just run out on the people. . . . I thought I should say this to you because . . . I don’t think they would understand. . . . If a day comes when others would have to understand, please explain it for me.”
