Im probably dealing with a different CKF than many of you; however, maybe someone here has some suggestions. Wodan is now 6 months old. At 8 weeks he had a nonstop bladder infection & continuous leaking of urine. At 10 weeks he had major surgery to remove and reattach both ureters due to infection; testicles removed because wrapped around bladder; a repair in bladder where urine drained from his umbilicus site. Kidneys have taken a beating; odd size and shape; reduced K function; left gone, right partial; full-on CKF diagnosed in 9.2014... His pain level has been increasing over the past 4 weeks. On Bethanechol, Traumeel, Gabapentine; each of these doses increased. I take him out to pee every 2-4 hours because he still has difficulty peeing; will try for me when I take him out. Penis becomes hard with bulge when he hasnt peed, and the swelling decreases if I can get him to pee. Last two days have been especially bad with increased pain and less pee released. Im frantic to try and find something that the vets havent thought of to help him. See vet again tomorrow. Think Ill ask if Rimadyl might help him again with reducing the swelling of his engorged penis. Because of all his surgeries, could there be scar tissue blocking his ureter? Does not have crystals or tumor or stones. Any alternatives to more surgery? Any thoughts? Any ideas would be appreciated.
