Im reading Joe Satrianis book (which is mostly about his creative process) and came across this quote: For this album, the process wasnt about working out every arrangement detail and forcing people to play it. Sometimes that works, but other times you have to throw the music at the musicians, let them explore it on their own, and then capture that exploration. This really does sum up what we did with Hand Me Down Soul.
