Im reading all of these posts about depression and how it doesnt discriminate and it cant be fixed- No way can I accept those words. It runs in my family-- strolls through really- I deal with it every day of my life, watch the suffering it has caused and still continues to cause. I pray about it more than I pray on any detail of my life-- for strength and relief of loved ones. At the end of the day depression is not something I am going to battle. That is not an option. For me, depression is something that I will not allow to win me over. Sure there are hard times and bad things in this world--- but there is also SO much love and beauty. I try to focus on that. As I grow older, I hope to protect my kids from encountering that demon and hope they never have to endure its torture.
