Im really curious about the TOS, most specifically section 1.6 Use - TopicsExpress

Im really curious about the TOS, most specifically section 1.6 Use of the Service. And even more specifically this part: j. You shall not sublicense, rent, lease, sell, trade, gift, bequeath or otherwise transfer your Account or any Virtual Items associated with your Account to anyone without Big Viking Games written permission; does this mean that we cannot gift items? I mean I see a few giveaways on this page. Dont misunderstand me though - im not snitching or whatever. I love giveaways and admire anyone who does them. I try to be giving myself also. But im extremely curious about that. What if a coin dealer simply gave coins as a gift and took money as a gift. Do you get me? Maybe thats why the rule is in place. But the moment someone giving an item away gets banned is the moment im done playing YoWorld. The next part (k.) just follows that you cant accept said items. So no gifting or accepting a gift? Also c. You shall not have more than one Account, per platform or SNS, at any given time, and shall not create an account using a false identity or information, or on behalf of someone other than yourself; other than the fact that so many people have alts here, the second half says we cant use a false identity or information. What about pseudo names? I can honestly say Gaspworthy is not my real last name. Same with many of you and the YoVillians and YoWorldians. Is that breaking the TOS? Would be a shame to see everyone get banned. But it seems like part of section j. is being strongly enforced currently (the coin selling). Is it just sort of a pick and choose thing? For the coin selling that happened up to 2 years ago for some people, I know several people have already questioned this, but wasnt that Zyngas TOS? One of the admins said that the TOS is identical and if it shouldnt be transferred over then maybe the items and coins shouldnt be either? But isnt there a big difference? One TOS was for YoVille run under Zynga. The TOS that we read (hopefully) and accepted after BVG took over is for YoWorld under BVG. Two separate ideas? Isnt it only possible that if someone violated Zyngas TOS that they could only be banned under/from Zynga itself? If the TOS was exactly the same as you say then we wouldnt need to agree to it when BVG took over. The Governing Agreement in the TOS (1.1) says The terms of this agreement (Terms of Service or Terms) govern the relationship between you and Big Viking Games ... I dont understand how BVG has the right to remove privileges (ban) players who violated their agreement with Zynga. The new TOS involves your relationship with BVG and its owners. Coin sellers who sold coins 2 years ago did not violate any of these new rules as this new TOS deals with said relationship with BVG and NOT Zynga. For the players who sold coins when Zynga was in control, technically they did not break the current TOS because the current TOS stipulates said relationship with them and not Zynga. Here is 1.10. Suspension and Termination of Account and Service: WITHOUT LIMITING ANY OTHER REMEDIES, BIG VIKING GAMES MAY LIMIT, SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ACCOUNTS OR ACCESS TO THE SERVICE OR PORTIONS THEREOF IF YOU ARE, OR BIG VIKING GAMES SUSPECTS THAT YOU ARE, FAILING TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THESE TERMS OF SERVICE OR FOR ANY ACTUAL OR SUSPECTED ILLEGAL OR IMPROPER USE OF THE SERVICE, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. The same TOS that has absolutely nothing to do with what you did under Zyngas reign. Sorry for the long post. Its amazing how much you can write when youre annoyed at seeing so many of your friends get banned over something that happened so long ago.
