Im really excited about this track (final version, follow up to my 80s style mix thread), tomorrow im going to run it to 2 tape and then to get mastered. I got some advice from the guy who has the tape machine and he told me to run the mix hotter than usual and really pump the EQ. So, I did (as you will hear). Supposedly If i want real tape artifacts you have to do a hot write to the tape, which may or may not turn out to be the case. I posted the hot version but have a much colder version ready to go.
