Im really kind of amazed (in the best way - so surprised and so glad) that a movie got made about this. Maybe lots of people these days dont remember the big eyes paintings, but they were ubiquitous when I was a kid and I was fascinated with them. At the time I didnt give much thought to who the artist was (I seem to recall being told once that it was a husband-and-wife team). Im just happy that Margaret Keane - and the paintings themselves, and their place in pop-culture history - are getting this recognition now, however late.
