Im really proud of the Layers Concert we just performed in November at the Pioneer Place Theatre Company, and our performance of Hey Beautiful was one of my favorite moments. Erin Ebnet brilliantly interpreted Emily Raths original duet recording with me & made it completely her own. Jonas Dubin created a whole new world with his cello virtuosity, including a fabulous solo as the song ended & we began the next song Stay All Night (listen for it!). Adam Hammers gentle touch & rhythmic playing on the acoustic guitar beautifully carried the roots & vibe of the song. And the solid, dynamic, cinematic approach of Tommy & Jeff Vee on bass & drums animated the song to a new level. I think I could have stopped playing & singing and just let the band take over. Very special thanks to our excellent sound engineer Tom Pickard & to Daniel Barth for bring us in to play for the theatres new Granite City Music Review. Jim McAlister from @Tell-A-Vision Tell-A-Vision Productions just put his fine finishing touch on this video from the concert.
