Im relieved that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Just to give everyone an update: I dont have a frozen shoulder, nor do I have thoracic outlet syndrome. I dont need surgery, injections or labels. And Im not grumpy Im just in pain. I have been wrongly diagnosed so often and received several unnecessary treatments that gave me bad side effects and might have done more bad than good (laser treatment, steroid injections), which could gave been avoided, that I after having decided for years to live in pain I finally could not take it any longer and had an xray done and seen a orthopaedic shoulder specialist. You kind of get used to living with pain but ever since the children arrived all the lifting had made it worse. Wintertime is usually my enemy as my whole neck and shoulder seizes up so every day and night with pain that even painkillers could not make go away is a horror. It may never completely be over, but its treatable!!!! With physiotherapy, accupunture, nerve blockers for the pain and training my shoulderblade to start moving correctly again, hopefully, will releave the worst of it and strengthen the muscle which is very weak. The front muscles in my shoulder at the moment are very stressed and doing all the work which causes shooting pains down my whole arm with the shoulder as its centre. So yoga, Pilates class here I come and Monday second fysio!
