Im reminded today of how short, precious and fragile life can be. I received a call from my dad a few hours ago, and he told me my stepmother is in the ICU, in a coma after emergency surgery and is possibly brain dead. The doctors are running more test but the outlook is pretty grim. Ive heard/seen this man cry 3 times in my entire life, today included. I talked to her not to long ago and even though she was dealing with some medical issues, she said she was fine and sounded just as cheery as ever. This lady is a great lady. She has, from day one, always loved my sister, my brother, me and our families unconditionally. She had no children of her own and was always happy to call us hers. I just heard from her niece and she told me that the doctors are going to try another 48 of antibiotics and then reevaluate her condition. I know I usually post funny and weird things and Im not always serious but please, everyone, please as soon as you can, make sure that those you love know you love them. And if its not too much to ask, please say a prayer for my mom. I would greatly appreciate it.
